When the kitten is ready to change the house, I contact the "new family" to arrange its collection. Usually it is around 15-16 weeks of the toddler's life. They are already taught to use the litter box, scratching post, dry and wet food, and well socialized.

♥ real, five-generation pedigree of the FPL - the largest felinological organization in Poland,
♥ a health book with the history of previous veterinary care, confirming that the kitten has been vaccinated twice, has been dewormed and contains information about castration,
♥ is chipped and registered in the Safe-Animal database [details of the new owner],
♥ gets a layette for the first weeks in a new home.

Early castration is not only about preventing unplanned reproduction. Thanks to this procedure, cats avoid the risk of many diseases, such as cysts, ovarian cysts, pyomatous cysts or breast cancer. It is not subjected to the action of hormones, which may be manifested by psychophysical arousal or nervous reactions to household members or other animals.

In males, castration eliminates the significance of the area with urine - cats after such a treatment will not develop habits typical for mature cats - the importance of the area, loud vocalizing or attempts to run away from home. There is no aggression without the effect of testosterone.

We know from our experience that kittens undergo the procedure much faster than older cats and that the convalescence period and wound healing are shorter. Already two hours after the treatment, kittens run as if there was no treatment ... This is due to the fact that the reproductive organs in sexually immature cats are less developed and supplied with blood, and their faster metabolism speeds up the recovery time from anesthesia.

Therefore, conscious breeders castrate their kittens before releasing them to new homes. The more so because they already have proven veterinarians - reproductive specialists who will do it right.

The collection of a kitten at the age of 15-16 weeks is also recommended by behaviorists, because according to the latest research, only then is it fully socialized and ready to leave its mother.
